5 Ideas For Great Do It Yourself
Centerpieces
For
Your Next Event
Finding the perfect
centerpiece for your wedding may be one of the
most time consuming aspects of the planning
process. The best way to get a head start is to
have a good idea of what you want before you
start looking. Some people know exactly what
they want and are ahead of the game from the
start. The most important factor will relate to
the theme of the event and how to make the
flowers blend in with that theme.
1) Floating Candles: Put
floating candles in a large glass bowl and
decorate with a mixture of greens and a few
flowers. The type of flower will depend on what
is available at that time of year.
2) Large Hurricane Lamps: To
add a little color to the table you can fill a
hurricane lamp with greens, baby’s breadth and
assorted or just one type of flower. It gives
the table great height and color.
3) Candles and Mirrors: Place a
small round mirror on the table and put a
variety of sizes of candles, plain or colored
depending on your preference. The candles
reflect off the mirror and add a beautiful glow
to the room.
4) Seasonal Plants: There are
many plants that you can purchase in small pots.
Place several of these together and they will
look like a large bouquet.
5) Balloons: For the more
informal wedding you could use some fancy
balloons that will look classy and yet be fun at
the same time.
If you are going to do centerpieces yourself, be
in tune to the time of year for coloring and
stick with your theme for the style and just
have fun with it.
