At Lessing’s, we believe in understanding the
source of our food as well as buying locally
whenever the opportunity to do so is available.
In coordination with our local food purveyor,
Jkings, we provided our top chefs a great day on
the North Fork of Long Island where we sampled
the finest produce I have tasted as well as
shaking hands with the farmers themselves. The
farmers energized the chefs with recipes and
culinary techniques for utilizing their product.
It was a fantastic day and we were able to
reinforce the freshness and flavor component to
food. Our chef’s have gone on to create
fantastic specials and menus featuring these
products. Our time with local produce is
dwindling so be sure to check our farm inspired
Autumn cuisine.
